A perícia trabalhista é um recurso essencial no Direito do Trabalho, pois fornece subsídios técnicos que auxiliam o juiz na análise de questões que ultrapassam o conhecimento jurídico, como cálculos de débitos, condições de trabalho e diferenças salariais. Nesse contexto, o perito contador assume papel de destaque, contribuindo com imparcialidade, ética e rigor técnico. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a relevância da atuação do perito contador no âmbito da Justiça do Trabalho, destacando suas funções, responsabilidades e contribuições para a produção de provas técnicas que embasam decisões judiciais. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de revisão bibliográfica acerca do papel da perícia contábil trabalhista e da aplicação de um questionário direcionado a participantes da área, buscando compreender o nível de percepção sobre a função do perito. Os resultados evidenciaram consenso quanto à importância da análise e interpretação de documentos contábeis e da legislação como base de legitimidade da perícia. Além disso, destacou-se a distinção entre contador e perito, sendo este último responsável por análises retrospectivas em processos judiciais. Contudo, verificaram-se lacunas quanto à compreensão dos limites da atuação do perito em relação ao juiz e sobre o papel da escrituração contábil. Conclui-se que a perícia trabalhista é fundamental para a proteção de direitos, o equilíbrio técnico entre as partes e a consolidação de decisões mais justas e transparentes. O estudo reforça a importância da atuação ética e imparcial do perito contador, que contribui significativamente para a credibilidade e legitimidade da Justiça do Trabalho.

Labor expertise is an essential instrument within Labor Law, as it provides technical support that assists judges in analyzing issues that go beyond legal knowledge, such as debt calculations, working conditions, and salary differences. In this context, the forensic accountant plays a key role, contributing with impartiality, ethics, and technical rigor. This study aims to analyze the relevance of the forensic accountant’s role within Labor Justice, highlighting their functions, responsibilities, and contributions to the production of technical evidence that supports judicial decisions. The research was conducted through a literature review on the role of labor forensic accounting and the application of a questionnaire to participants in the field, seeking to understand the level of perception regarding the expert’s function. The findings revealed consensus on the importance of document analysis and accounting legislation as the basis of legitimacy for expertise. Furthermore, the distinction between accountant and expert was highlighted, with the latter being responsible for retrospective analyses in judicial processes. However, gaps were identified in the understanding of the limits of the expert’s role in relation to the judge and the function of accounting records. It is concluded that labor expertise plays a strategic role in protecting rights and promoting fairer and more transparent decisions. The work of the forensic accountant, when guided by ethics, impartiality, and technical rigor, strengthens the balance between the parties and ensures greater credibility for the decisions of Labor Justice.
