    Human identity is a dynamic and multifaceted process, influenced by social, cultural, and historical factors, and intrinsically linked to an individual's life project. Humans naturally project themselves into the future, constructing their identities based on their choices and experiences. Guaranteeing a dynamic civil and constitutional identity is fundamental for the full exercise of citizenship and the construction of a unique life project. This research aims to analyze the complexity of human identity, the relationship between identity and life project, and the importance of legal protection for individual fulfillment. The methodology involved an interdisciplinary approach, theoretical and practical research on the subject, in different areas of knowledge, such as Law, Philosophy, Psychology, and Literature. The research demonstrated that identity is not limited to the legal sphere, but is shaped by various other dimensions, such as the psychological, social, and cultural. International and national jurisprudence should recognize the right to create and develop a life project, ensuring conditions for individuals to freely exercise their choices. It is concluded that education is an essential factor in building an autonomous identity and that legal protection, combined with educational policies, is fundamental to guarantee the full exercise of free will in the development of life projects.
