Also known as "professional burnout syndrome", it develops in work situations that require great competitiveness or responsibility. Overwork is identified as the main cause of this disorder, commonly affecting professionals who deal with constant pressure and responsibilities on a daily basis, such as doctors, nurses, teachers, police officers and journalists. Furthermore, Burnout Syndrome can be triggered when professionals are faced with extremely challenging work objectives, leading them to doubt their abilities to achieve them. This condition can lead to a state of deep depression, so it is essential to seek professional help when identifying the first symptoms. The purpose of this study is to recognize attributes of Burnout Syndrome, and aims to analyze the factors associated with Burnout Syndrome that affect nursing professionals during the Coronavirus pandemic. The present study constitutes an integrative review of articles published between 2018 and 2024, descriptive, qualitative and retrospective. A search was carried out on the platforms LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences), SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and on an academic search engine (Google Scholar), and found 30 articles relating to the topic, which we helped to understand the disease and the importance of providing better working conditions, reducing stress and providing support to health professionals, especially the Nursing team, which is the main source of assistance to the population.
