Item ATIVIDADE FÍSICA COMO FERRAMENTA DE DESENVOLVIMENTO INTEGRAL: IMPACTOS NA QUALIDADE DE VIDA E INCLUSÃO SOCIAL DE CRIANÇAS COM TRANSTORNO DO ESPECTRO AUTISTA.(2024-11-13) DANIEL AMORIM GONÇALES; RHYAN DE SOUZA MELO.Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects communication and social interaction, directly impacting the daily lives of diagnosed children. This study aims to investigate the effects of adapted physical activity on the comprehensive development of children with ASD, analyzing the physical, emotional, and social benefits of these practices. The research is justified by the relevance of interventions that promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of children with ASD, given the growing prevalence of this disorder and the importance of approaches that consider the specific needs of these individuals. The methodology used consisted of a bibliographic search, based on the analysis of scientific articles and books, focusing on how the practice of adapted physical activities can influence the development of children with ASD. The results showed that activities such as swimming, functional circuits, and other adapted sports bring significant improvements in motor control, increased socialization, and reduced repetitive behaviors. In addition, these practices contribute to strengthening children's self-esteem, confidence, and autonomy, which directly impacts their quality of life and emotional well-being. In conclusion, adapted physical activity has proven to be a fundamental tool for the overall development of children with ASD, acting on physical, emotional and social aspects. We suggest that further research be conducted to explore the impact of these interventions in educational and therapeutic contexts, aiming to expand strategies for social inclusion and promotion of physical and mental health for this population.
